Art and Design

It is our belief that Art & Design provide children with the opportunities to freely express their individual thoughts, ideas and responses to the world that surrounds them. We aim to provide an Art & Design education that stimulates, engages and inspires children to creatively represent their understanding and experiences. We encourage children to explore and experiment with a variety of media that enables them to develop key skills in drawing, sketching, painting, designing and sculpture. Within the Art & Design curriculum we aim for children to deepen their ability to evaluate and reflect upon not only their own creations but that of others including historical artists, designers and architects.
