Proud Thursday Summer 2
We have had so many entries over the last few weeks that we have had to start a new blog page - this is wonderful!
Keep your Proud Thursday entries coming, all the way up to the Summer holidays!
Email: firstname.lastname@example.org every Wednesday!
From circus skills to big outdoor art challenges, we've seen lots of great work this week! Well done to everyone! The weather may have been miserable but you have brightened up our days by sharing everything that you are doing at home. It's so lovely to see.
As we move towards our final week before the Summer, we'd like to make next week the biggest and best Proud Thursday yet! Don't forget to send us your work for a special certificate!
Enjoy your virtual school sports day on Friday - make sure you send us some pictures on Facebook or to our school contact email!
Have a lovely weekend!
This week we have received some fantastic work for Proud Thursday - including an amazing 8 page story from Skyla! It's been lovely to hear that you are all enjoying your workbooks too and we've seen some wonderful achievements.
Even though you have been in lockdown, we have still found out so much about you - especially how creative you are - Sophia set a spy trap for her Mum this week - it looked so much fun!
Franek and Bartek for working really hard on their workbooks, even when they weren't feeling too enthusiastic.
Well done to all of you this week - keep your work coming, we only have two Proud Thursdays left!
We have been sent some beautiful writing this week and seen some fantastic 'Lockdown Projects.' Mrs Barker has been very impressed and is going to send us an update soon. Keep your working coming - we only have 3 Proud Thursdays left!!
Congratulations to Lacey this week who has achieved her best ever score on TT Rockstars! Well done Lacey, you have been working really hard at home and we hope that you enjoyed your afternoon off!
Well done to everyone who received a certificate this week!
We only had a few emails this week for Proud Thursday but we know that you will be working extremely hard at home.
Your workbooks are ready for collection next week and we are very much looking forward to seeing you when you come to collect them.
Mrs Barker has set you a special 'Lockdown Project' this week - to create a piece of work to tell us about your experiences in lockdown. It can be anything you like - a diary, a poster, a picture collage or even some art work. Once you have completed it, send it to us and Mrs Barker is going to arrange a special event with Barnsley Museums to showcase it all. It's going to be very exciting!
Here is our slideshow for this week - thank you to everyone who has sent us work.
A Special Invitation
Whilst you are working at home, we would like to invite you all to join us on the 15th July for a special Superhero themed party to help us remember this school year.
Think back to VE Day, think street party, think superheroes and start planning your menu, decorations and outfits!
Your teachers will be joining in, the children in school on this day will be joining in and we hope that you will join us too.
It's the second week back of home learning after half term and you are doing an amazing job at home. We have been astounded by all of your art work, writing and creations this week. Thank you once again to everyone who is sending work to our 'contact' email. We really do love seeing it all.
In school this week, our 'bubbles' have been working really hard, learning all about Superheroes and what makes a hero, a hero. If you'd like an extra challenge this week, you could send us some work based on your favourite superhero.
It was so difficult to pick special mentions this week as all of your work was brilliant! A massive well done to Finley P who has completed the ultimate lego challenge in a matter of days! We were so impressed that you also linked it to your mobile phone! Rhys also impressed us this week with his Mr Hedgehog - your sculpture was fantastic!
Finally, take a look at this AMAZING piece of work by Oscar in Reception! Isn't it wonderful!
Thank you so much to everyone who is still sending us work for Proud Thursday - especially those of you who have sent work every week! It's amazing to see all of your achievements.
It's been a busy week in school this week as we prepared our Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 Hubs ready for some children to return on 4th June. We are all ready and can't wait to see you.
A huge well done this week to Oscar who came top of the leader board on Maths Factor and to Isabelle and Jessica who completed a super project together all about plants!
It's been another super week - keep up the hard work everyone!
Well done if you have received a certificate this week!
It's Bank Holiday this week, but you are still making us so PROUD!
The weather has been gorgeous and it's great to see so many of you going outside and completing challenges in your garden or local area.
This week, we have had some lovely joint entries where you have been really creative and shown how well you can work with your siblings.
We must mention Rowan who ran 31 miles in 3 weeks (a personal challenge that he set himself) and Zach, who has designed a football kit, which was voted as the favourite design for his team. It will be used for their brand new home kit which is AMAZING! Scroll down to view his winning design!
Well done to everyone who has received a certificate this week!
